Unexpected events
In this series, I started creating backgrounds with a structure of beige and white areas, on which I wanted to sew hand-made coloured “doodles” to form a composition.
Spontaneous decision
However, early in the process, I made a spontaneous decision to incorporate the coloured elements directly into the background. As a result, the works developed in a completely unexpected way, with new coloured areas, pieces of beige and white fabric and coloured lines.
A series of three works was eventually created, to which a fourth was added a few months later. Because of their genesis, I have named them “Unexpected Events”.
